So grateful for this incredible training designed by Dr. Maya Chacaby (leader of our partner project Biskaabiiyaang through York’s Glendon Campus. It is open to all people (you do not have to be a York student), and attracts settler and Indigenous people from across the country, helping to better understand history, trauma-awareness, and cultural competency. Multiple members of our team have completed this training, and encourage everyone to take this certificate training. Training has been noted by our team as a vital part of decolonizing/Indigenization efforts.
Some members of our team also completed OCAP training, a brilliant way to better understand how to be responsible and respect Indigenous ownership, control, access, and possession rights in research and other partnered activities. See the website for this training here:
